Created by KeefH Web Designs, the home of great website design, on 16th December 2023 at 16.32 p.m.
on the eve of son number 2's 40th birthday which he spent diving with sharks on the Gold Coast, Quensland, Australia - a very brave man.
The big website design choice here after quite a while experiencing creating the great marketing tool that is reels or shorts for use with You Tube, TikTok and other social media avenues.
TEST PROCESS
In order to try out the website design pros and cons I created a "pack" of portraits in 9:16 format using inPixio and other tools and created two short reels (i.e less that 60 seconds) both with a soundtrack , transitions and overlays.
Here they both are for your delight and delectation
CLIPCHAMP version
YOU TUBE CREATOR version
POLL
See which you think is best, different features are sure to appeal to different folk, I am interested. Lets do a poll.
Which do you prefer?
0%Choice 1 Clipchamp
0%Choice 2 You Tube Creator
PROs and CONs of each
Having used each I have attempted to logically and methodically evaluate the good and the slightly less good of each so here goes.
Clipchamp
PROs | CONs |
---|---|
Greater functionality and editing control | Paid |
Huge content library to use | Image effects not available |
Great transitions store | Laptop / desktop only |
4K / UHD publishing |
You Tube Creator
PROs | CONs |
---|---|
Free | Less functionality |
Phone creation via app | No 4K/ UHD |
Direct publishing to You Tube shorts | Phone only (both pro & con) |
Special Image effects |
CONCLUSIONS
Whilst I accept paying for a video creation tool is not everyone's cup of tea and the image effects (although currently limited on You Tube Creator) are hugely powerful I still prefer the diverse and rounded available functionailty in Clipchamp, but I will not limit myself to using just the one, why should I and neither should you.
